Hey guys,

I know it's been awhile since my last but a lot of stuff has happened over the last few weeks. I'll give you guys a brief overview.

First, I went to Bonnaroo the weekend before last. Special thanks goes to Emilo for hooking me up with a free ticket. Overall it was a great experience aside from: the tornado warning on the first night, a destroyed tent, and 2 blown tires on the way back. I'm not really an outdoors person at all, I'm a big city-boy at heart, but the music made the whole thing worth it.

My best NYC bud, Reggie Co-Founder of ATG, snagged a media pass for festival and together we got some great coverage of the festival. I was in charge of photography and capturing videos of the festival. It was the first I was really able to get a taste of what it was like to be apart of the press for a major event. I was able to utilize my growing knowledge of photography and video and put it to work. It was a great feeling. We went to a few press conferences, talk to a few indie-celebs, ate catered food, and most of all we enjoyed clean bathroom facilities.

In terms of coverage; we got some shots of a few hip hop acts including: MURS, Snoop, and Eryka Badu. All shot by yours truly. We also got an exclusive interview with Chuck D, from the legendary hip hop group Public Enemy. In addition to that we got great footage from their performance as well as backstage footage of Beastie Boys performing a new song with Nas. You can check all that out plus more at here. Second, I finished my spring classes!!! It feels great to be done with school even it's just for a little while. I think I will either receive a A or B in my class.

And last but not least, I LANDED ANOTHER INTERNSHIP GIG!! AND IT's PAID! from now until mid-late august, I will be interning at Radio Disney at their Orlando Station. It should be a great experience. I'll be working directly with the station manager (AKA the Boss). I've been applying almost relentlessly for internships across the country (but mostly in NYC and Chicago) in hopes that I would get one in an industry and company that I interested in. And out of the 25+ that I applied for this was the one I wanted the most. Even though, I met the criteria of the type of candidate they wanted I thought I wouldn't have a shot. Mostly because I don't go to a prestigious school and I don't have 4.0GPA. Although the odds seemed against me I still applied. I spent hours on end composing the best damn cover letter that I could. I had all of friends who I write professionally or for leisure look at it. I was also able to get a letter recommendation from the VP of Finance at my previous internship. I tried to think of anyway that would help differentiate myself from the pack. After all that, I prayed about it, nearly everyday. I knew in order for me to have chance of getting the job out of the hundreds that applied I would need God's favor. Thanks to everyone that also prayed for me while I was awaiting their decision. It really means a lot to me. Although I didn't land the NYC position, mainly because time constraints and other conflicts were going on during that the window of time. I'm glad, blessed, and happy to be where I am now. Plus ABC-Disney is a huge company with tons of opportunities to get into media so theres no telling that I wouldn't be working in their NYC station once I graduate. Being here gives me a whole new experience and perspective on life. Which one of the most important things I saught after. And I know NYC isn't going anywhere, I know I'll be there sooner rather than later.

Today was my first day of work. It went well, even-though I didn't know exactly what to expect. I'll be working with all departments in the station. I could definitely see myself doing this as a career and doing music photography jobs as a side job. Ideally that would put me in a great space. More than anything I want to be able to love my work. I want to be one of the few people in the world that can honestly say that they love their job. And I definitely think I'm moving in that direction.

Now, I know that was a lot and I apologize for grammatical errors you may of come across while reading this. Let's back to the purpose of this blog. Posting cool nerdy stuff.

this is genius!! I actually digg the original song alot, aside from the ignorant premise of it all. it's just a fun song to listen to in a club, of which I've been in a lot of lately. With it's impersonator cast and high production value, this spoof is mos def a win, win.

Other things: I'm once again, I'm super pumped for seeing my boys perform this coming Tuesday. I been listening to their new free live album and although it's only 9 songs, it has everything it that makes their lives shows great in it. Which are: great vocals, the crowd's interaction, and Chris' corky commentary. Can't wait to hear Fix You live again, definitely my fav song live, that and in my place, and Viva's great too. This will be my 3rd show in the past 2 years and I have yet to pay a dime to go to any of them and for that, I am extremely grateful. Thanks to the boys, and my friends at Oxfam. Because of them I will probably never miss a show in wherever city I will be in.

Through their music they've taught me so much. Things that I have made me who I am today, so anything I can do to return the favor I will gladly do. I remember when I finally gave them a listen in 05' and they clicked almost instantly with me. I yearned to see them live being my luck, they had just finished their US Tour that year. I had to wait 3years b4 i got my next chance. Since then, I've never missed a chance to see them and plan never to for as long as I can.

enough of that; I'm contemplating going Bonarroo still. I definitely want to go but there are things holdin me back.... other then that something big looks to be on the horizon for me but I cannot to say until i know for sure (and I've been praying nearly everyday for it to happen). I'll let u all know as soon as I do.

To all those that guess correctly, congratulations. Yes, these are the Limited Edition Nike Coraline Dunks. How did I win them you may ask? Well, long story short, a friend of mine (Shout out to Premier!) entered me in a contest for the shoes. Since he knew I'm not really a Nike man (Vans till I die), although their are a few exceptions to the rule, he did it in hopes of bettering his own chances. I agreed to allow to enter me in thinking that there was no way in hell I was gonna win, not that I cared. Anyways, I won and he didn't.

The shoes themselves are pretty dope, although I would definitely say they are geared toward the female sneakerhead. Just by looking at the colorway and the fabric used on the shoe. The inner lining is light blue with a star pattern design made from this silky/satin fabric.

But at any rate the initial plan was always to sell them, and give my friend a cut of course. Strangely enough I got a pretty substantial offer for them today from someone on HB, go figure right? God knows I could put that money to good use. But I'm not gonna say how much till everythings official. Till' then, I hope you guys enjoy the rest of the week, I know will. Damn it feels good to be out of school.

This aged little magazine quote clipping has been taped to my computer monitor for over a year. I read it whenever I'm stuck hating myself too much to be any kind of productive. It helps.

I decided to gank this quote from one of my fav blogs to read Sarah Spy. This quote really rings to me, now especially. There's so much that I want to do, but I think finding the starting point is the hardest thing to do. And who knows if I ever will be as successful as I know will be. At the end of the of the day I just want to apart of something great whether it be something of mine or some else.
I've got one final left, Philosophy 101, my last Gen. Ed. Hopefully forever. Not to worried I'm at B+ and a barely read the text. I just skim or get a kid from the class to reiterate the important parts.
I was talking 1 of my roommates yesterday and we had a indepth discussion about finals. Why is it that some teachers in fuckin kids over in the finals? Like a teacher tells you what to study for final yet ignores their statements and put stuff you never went over in class on the final? Many if not all, already know how overly critical/stressed about their grade already. I think it's unfair that so much one's grade has to be put into 1 test, even thought u just spent 15 weeks learning about it. We can came to the conclusion that school should either not have cumulative finals or have a cumulative final that is not excessively weighted. Thoughts?

Side note: just heard John Legend's first album for the first time in awhile.... we need to bring back the old Jlegend and forget this greenlight crap, although i am afan of that song.

anywho im going to bed. I'm excited about getting more than +4hours of sleep tonight, haven't had that in ahwile.

OK so as you guys know I really wanted to do weeklys (A small batch of the best photographs I took the previous week). But as you also know, "Life" happens sometimes, you lose track or get caught up in the mix. At any rate. I'm gonna try and start doing this again. I'm also going to set a weekly task in my Blackberry to remind to do this every week. Over the past few days I've had the privilege of being able to shoot more stuff over a small string of days then I've had in awhile. But, I'm also gonna post some older stuff that I wanted to post just never got around to. these should be relatively high res versions. I've had some ideas floating in my head for a few days now and I want to get'em shot, but I need a volunteer(s), to par take in it. don't worry it'll be dope, I just wanna try a few techniques I've learned over the last week or so. any takers?

OK so i normally don't do this... but after seeing these photos I was compelled to post them. These are some the dopest fahsion shots I've seen in awhile. I really like the 50s-era power woman style-connoisseur feel that these portray so stunningly. All thanks to stylist stylist Aya Kanai and photog Blossom Berkofsky. Shots like these could make the uglisest/most borning pair of frames look appealing. Great work girls.

Speaking of sunglasses I've been debating whether i should get a new pair for the summer. I like my Benz Aviators but I think I something alittle more comptempary, they're called SUPERs. They have wayfer feel, but slightly more semitrical. I know wayfers are timeless classic yahdadayahda and I agree, but I will never purchase willing just so ppl have them. Here a few I've been eying lemme know you thoughts and maybe that'll help me make my decision.

so i just done watching episode of one of my favorite shows Scrubs. A friend of mine called it obnoxious, I say it's hilarious. Its' original, heartfelt, and just so dorky. One of the reoccurring schicks on the show are these random dance scenes. By far the best dancer on the show is Turk, *smh* go figure. Anyway, this is scene from the ep i just watched and felt compelled to post it. He's just so flippin silly, but at the same time dude got some moves.

Does Office star John Krasinski star, Maggie Gyllenhaal, and Jeff Daniels seem like an awkward, yet winning combination for a film to you? Did I forget to mention that SAM "My fav director" MENDES is directing? Crazy right? And so soon after Revolutionary Road? well im not complaing. havin seen all of his movies this film seems to have a completely different feel to it then any of the others he's directed. This sorta has that Juno meets Garden State type vibe (and mom from Juno is in it, fancy that?). Nevertheless, I will be going to see this movie as soon as it hits theaters. Anyone else down?

First single off Silversun Pickups new highly anticipated LP called "Swoon". This is 1 of a few albums being released this year that I am extremely pumped about. Finally the big news... through my experience last summer in NYC I had a chance to meet some of the most interesting and similar thinking people I have ever met. One of these people, who i can consider to be a really good friend now. He along with another close and colleague started a dope Hip Hop Blog site, called A thousand Grams. Before he started this blog, he was a Senior Feature for UT, Head blog editor, and also interned for Time as an editorial intern. anyways hes one of the ambitious and best writers i've ever had the pleasure to personally know, he's going to be doing big things in the future. So I was honored when he and his friend(other co founder) asked me to write for them. However I haven't had the time till now to write for it. Check it out when you get the chance. here Not only to do they update you on hip hop news. They've are doing alot of original content such as a weekly podcasts, features, interviews, and whole bunch of stuff. One the contributors recently did an interview with Asher Roth at SXSW, check it here. I'm gonna be posting stuff there a few times every couple of days or so keep a look out. Makin Moves...

So I know i havent been posting a whole lot lately. That's mainly because schools been trying it's damnest to kick my ass. Rest assure im doing my best to stay on top of things. But in all honestly I just want to this semester to end. I think a friend of mine said it best on 1 of her FB statuses "Dear April 27, Hurry the FUCK UP". So before I even start finals week, I have 2Papers write by Friday. A take home quiz due next monday and many chapters to read/skim in various books. After dealing with my anxiety issues about the whole situation and feelings of overwhelminess. I feel more at ease and more up for the task.
Things that will get me through it all:
1. DISCIPLINE
2. MUSIC, my iPod is apart of my SOUL. (Also be sure to check me out on Last.Fm here add as a friend me if you like)
3. Friends
4. Making daily tasks lists of shit i need to get done within that 24hr time period, and I will not rest until it is done.
5. Getting ENOUGH SLEEP
6. Doing things one thing at a time.
7. Mediation; I'm going to weekly mediation class. Mediation used to be a big part of my life and I dont know why I've stopped doing it over the last year or so. Probably shouldn've as i know it would be highly beneficial to me right now.
8. Blogging/Art (Drawing) - I've always found it to be therapeutic in a way, even though I don't usually vent frustrations on it. I enjoy searching for stories to post and putting my 2 cents in. Drawing is something I've been doing since as long as I can remember, I dont do it as much as used to. But theres almost no better feeling in the world than like taking out my sketch pad and just drawing something dope and zoning out my music. I'm gonna try and work on a few pieces ive been putting off for awhile over the next few nights as a way to break from studying.
9. Taking deep breaths
10. Eliminating excess time on facebook. Shit is be hella addicting as you all know. I'm probably going to turn off my account or have a friend change my password again. until the semester is done. that will help optimize my studying time.

I've also been thinking alot about my life/career goals lately.... especially since i will be graduating next year. I've been thinking about my time in school and whether it has been more of a hindrance than beneficial. I think if someone were to ask me whether or not they should go on to higher education, my initial response would be yes. But after much deliberation I think my response now would be IT DEPENDS, on what you want to do. Obviously if you want to be a DR. or a Lawyer ur gonna have to. But if you want to start your own business or be an entrepreneur, an artist, become an actor, or whatever... I feel like having experience and having the drive would be more important. Because alot of times in those types of situation it's not what you know its who u know in terms of getting your foot in the door. But if you don't knwo what you want to do I feel like trying school can be hella costly, money and time. At the same time it could will give you a chance to hopefully learn about subjects that interest you therein giving you a path by which to travel to goals/dreams

As for me I'm not 100% of what i want to, I know i want it to be media focused preferably in the music business. marketing or promotions probably. I also know i want out of Michigan, and i want to move to NYC or Chicago, preferably NYC. I feel like it would have the most/best opportunities from someone with my interests. I have dreams of owning my own independent label all the time. but at the same time a friend and I have been tossing around this store idea for the past 6 months. We've been fleshing more concrete ideas over the past weeks but it's still in the preliminary stages, but you can be damn sure it will be dope. There's something about starting my own business and doing something for myself as a man and putting my ALL into it that is so appealing to me. And if it fails, which just wouldnt happen, I could take pride in saying at least I had the guts to do something for me and stand on my own 2 feet. Although there still apart of me who just wants to work for sartorialist and/or pitchfork, traveling the world photographing dope outfits and concerts. I saw this movie called Beautiful Losers. It's one of the most inspirational movies I've ever seen. That along with a film called Revolutionary Road, have really gotten me thinking a lot. School being a "Means to end" but if the "end" isn't something you want why waste your time? "Do what you love, Fuck the rest" a quote from 1 of my favorite movies, little miss sunshine. A quote im tryin to live my life by now. In attempts move into that career direction i have done the follwoing: Last summer I worked for 1 of the biggest media corporations in the country and developed contacts and repore though them. I would love to be the head of marketing and promotions for station like 93XRT or KROCK in cali one day. For now, I work at the Radio Station at my school as a music and I'm co-chair of the promotions committee, a group of which I founded. The station has become very close to me and i would like nothing more then to see it grow.

The twitter craze is getting out hand. So much so FB has hopped on the train and into with this almost worthless sorry excuse for social networking/microblog/whatever site. And because of it I've been seriously considering getting rid of my fb account. This video properly expresses the disdain I have for such dumb site. I'm realizing now that these social networking sites while their benefits are apperant in strengthing bonds between people. They have a part in severing them, and have quickly become a somtimes unhealthy addiciton for today's young adults. ME included. But i've tried my best to get it under control. at my worst, i was logging on instinct, as soon has my fingers touched a keyboard. I feel like more and more that younger people today would perfer communiating through mediums such as fb, myspace, twitters, tumblr, pounce, or txting than real world means. And well that's all well in good in moderation, it's still nothing like carrying on a enlighting/funny/insightful convo in real life. It just urks sometimes. before i go off on tangent i'll stop here tonight. i must sleep.

The live strings on this track always get me. Watching this make think about how lucky I was to have seen the Glow in the Dark Tour. It was a tour that will go down in history as one of the best shows of my generation.

That statement pretty much summed up what he was trying to accomplish with 808s perfectly (and all his albums really). Unlike most rappers, and artist in general, he realizes the importance of evolution. Continually trying to reinvent one's self while stiling trying to push the envolope of an entire genre and still trying to maintain ones identity, has to be the hardest thing for an artist to do. Although the outcomes from the process might not be widely accepted, but from artist to another, he should atleast deserve your respect undoubtly.

It's a new camera phone from Samsung with a 8MEGA PIXEL sensor. Probably the best camera phone you can buy, presently. It could easily be mistaken for one atleast. It has one of those nifty xenon flashes you find a normal point and shoots. The phone is due on VERIZON soon.
At one point i was very earger to replace my phone and camera with one device, this of would a been a good option, if I was on Verizon. Anywho, I'm very content with my Blackberry Curve and will remain so until it, or I break. Although BB is getting way too popular, it kinda urks me, I'd probably would have to let it go if it didnt have a dope keyboard.

So Jazz has pretty much consumed my life over the past week along with midterms. I watched an interview with Q-tip on Tavis and he mentioned this album as the inspiration behind the production of A Tribe Called Quest's beats. So I decided to check it out. It's nothing short of a brillant work of art. What more could one expect from an albm with such a badass album title? Miles was definetely the defintion of cool of his time. I can see why this was considered to be a revolutionary album for it's time. It's a perfect of fusion of jazz with really prominant rock undertones. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to expand their musical prowess.

^^ I saw them perform a lolla a couple years back and knew the name, but not ther music. But the show was very solid. So a good friend of mine gave me this album this album a couple months back. Because I was wondering what all the hubub was about with this band was about. I listened to this album all the way through once and nothing seemed to capture my interest, so i never listened to again..... till now. It's finally clicked. The songs feel very uplifting with long almost whimsical choruses. Now that I'm not completely ignorant to their music I'll definetely have to see them again.

^^^ The album that made a big fan of these guys. The first track sets the tone for what is a beautifully dark album. The production of this album is outstanding. I just wish it translated better in their live performance when i saw them at Lolla in 07' i was sooooo pumped for their performance but left early and unsatisfied (so i caught the end half of muse). But every deserves a second chance... especially from band that makes such great music.

So most of us know Fashion week is goin on in NYC(Give almost anything to go and just experience it right now). Anyways we all know about the greats out there APC, Band of Outsiders, Commes Des Gracons, John Varvatos, Y-3, Junya Watanabe ayayayayaahhaha and all those guys. Being the enthusist that I am I'm lookin for the new up and comers that doing design dope shit. and I think I've found one. The Kooples, it's a french brand, *smh* of course, dont ask what it mean cuz i have no clue. But their work speaks for itsself. I feel like it's a hybrid of A.P.C. and AA. Both male and female lines are dope i tried to narrow down my favs as much as I could.

Mode-Gakuen Spiral Towers: Nagoya, Japan

Epic. Ok I Know I'm going to head to Japan at some point, so I'm adding this to my long list of "places to hit up while there". Cuz this is nothing short of amazing.

This stunning structure by architectural group Nikken Sekkei really does set the standard for educational architecture. Located on busy Main Street in Nagoya, Japan, the Mode-Gakuen Spiral Towers were designed for three schools that represent the school of fashion design, computer programming, and medical support. The concept of the towers are derived from the enthusiasm of students from three schools, twining and rising up to the sky then departing to the real world.

Three buildings of class rooms around the spiral core are called “Wings”. The towers' wing-like shape, narrow at the top, changes the rotation axis as they rise and create an organic curve. Spiral Towers appears to change shape slightly when viewed from different angles, giving an elegant yet dynamic impression.

Bert Monroy - Photoshop Painting Master

So I've found out about this guy a few years back. But couple weeks ago I was listening to a podcast where the host mentioned him and exhibit he is currently holding. And then I remembered all the amazing work he's done that i've ssen. Bert Monroy is THE GUY when it comes to photoshop realism art. He is my inspiration for all the stuff I do in Photoshop pretty much. He's his some of this most recent work. He considers himself a hyper-realist artist since he creates his paintings completely from scratch using reference photos.

Any1 here from the city of wind? This is an amazing panorama of the Damen Station on the Blue Line of the Chicago Transit Authority.
heres the stats on this actual painting because pic doesnt really do it much justice:
The image size is 40 inches by 120 inches.
• The flattened file weighs in at 1.7 Gigabytes.
• It took eleven months (close to 2,000 hours) to create.
• The painting is comprised of close to fifty individual Photoshop files.
• Taking a cumulative total of all the files, the overall image contains over 15,000 layers.
• Over 500 alpha channels were used for various effects.

Andrew has this amazing talent taking traditional folk music and adding these quirky neuances that only he could do. He not only uses your normal folk instruments and sounds but bird also incorperates sombering string compositions in a very refreshing sense.

So I've decided that my camera skills are up enough snuff where I can actually feel comfortable enough to start uploading some shots with my roomy's DSLR (Rebel XTi to be exact). I'm gonna try and start uploading pics once a week. Hopefully all those photog adepts out there can offer some good constructive criticism. And hopefully the photos will progressely get better over as I learn new things regarding; F/Stops, exposure, aperture, light metering, shutter speeds yadaydyadyaya.... so this is a test run. Premier is goin under some remodeling at the moment so I'd figure I'd go check it out. I also stopped by the UICA for a brief moment. OK so normally don't show or talk about personal stuff but this an exception. this was 2 years in the making. I created a fund specifically for this, saving and gathering all spare cash i could. I originally planned to buy the new gen when they came out. but when they did i wasnt impressed, plus i knew i wanted a matte screen(the artist/designer in me needs it) and cheaper. I got it off ebay from a nice young lady who barely used it and originally purchased it in september. it's only got 14cycles the battery for crying out load. It's in flawless condition. I also purchased an Black Incase hardshell case for it. I plan on using on this stunning piece of hardware/design/performance until it craps out on me (5+years hopefully). my last computer a dell has been on its last leg for the about 3 months now. this 15" macbook pro is better than that 17" in nearly everyway, except i wish it had a media card reader like the dell did. I took some pics of the two side by side just to give you perspective. I'm puttin the dell on eBay tomorrow. it has served me well for the last 4+years. i know whoever buys it will enjoy it. oh yea and i ordered the Fleet foxes Sun giant Ep off subpops site for 5 bucks as well.

^^^this is now my favorite and the best hip hop album record to drop last year. Reminds me of all the reasons i fell in love with hip hop.

^^^I've never been much of a fan of this guy, but this is some of his best work for sure. This and Marshall Mathers LPs are some of the best Hip Hop albums in recent years. During these records Em was at the top of his game. He evolved from, "the white boy that can rap and is out to prove something", into a lyrical beast never afraid to express what was on his mind (Artist integrity is at the core of everything I believe in and I respect the hell outta any artist that has a the balls to do what they feel is right not just what will sell). And he does so in such a manner that only he could do. "White America" a pivotal track that sets the tone for the rest of the album. It's one of the most intense intro tracks I've ever heard, filled with shady's witty social commentary that will have you laughing and in deep thought at the same time.

Really from the hype they've been getting for their new album "Merriweather Post Pavillion" I felt now was the best time to check them out. I loved this song from the first time I heard it. I've had the record on repeat for the past couple days. It is definitely an acquired taste, just fyi. Playmobil Security Check Point

A friend of mine told me the other day about this new toyset being released by Playmobil. I didn't believe it till I did a search for myself. It's based on the TSA check points that you would find in an airport, lord knows I've been through more than my fair share of these last year. Not fun at all. I just find it slighly disturbing that this toy exactly exist. There are some pretty funny reviews for this on amazon that better express my perspective. Here are 2 of my favs:

I was a little disappointed when I first bought this item, because the functionality is limited. My 5 year old son pointed out that the passenger's shoes cannot be removed. Then, we placed a deadly fingernail file underneath the passenger's scarf, and neither the detector doorway nor the security wand picked it up. My son said "that's the worst security ever!". But it turned out to be okay, because when the passenger got on the Playmobil B757 and tried to hijack it, she was mobbed by a couple of other heroic passengers, who only sustained minor injuries in the scuffle, which were treated at the Playmobil Hospital.
The best thing about this product is that it teaches kids about the realities of living in a high-surveillence society. My son said he wants the Playmobil Neighborhood Surveillence System set for Christmas. I've heard that the CC TV cameras on that thing are pretty worthless in terms of quality and motion detection, so I think I'll get him the Playmobil Abu-Gharib Interogation Set instead (it comes with a cute little memo from George Bush).

Thank you Playmobil for allowing me to teach my 5-year old the importance of recognizing what a failing bureaucracy in a ever growing fascist state looks like. Sometimes it's a hard lesson for kids to learn because not all pigs carry billy clubs and wear body armor. I applaud the people who created this toy for finally being hip to our changing times. Little children need to be aware that not all smiling faces and uniforms are friendly. I noticed that my child is now more interested in current events. Just the other day he asked me why we had to forfeit so much of our liberties and personal freedoms and I had to answer "well, it's because the terrorists have already won". Yes, they have won.
I also highly recommend the Playmobil "farm fencing" so you can take your escorted airline passenger away and fence him behind bars as if he were in Guantanamo Bay.

McQ Alexander McQueen for Target

McQueen is one of my favorite designers, and this line is shaping up to look pretty awesome. THere are some great pieces. Any would make for kool "swagger" pieces to any fashion centric girls collection. Good gift for guys lookin to give there GFs that little something special for Valentine's. And its all reasonably priced considering the designer and the craftmenship involved. I bet there gonna go quick, maybe as fast as when Commes des Garcons did that line for H&M last year.

McQ Alexander McQueen for Target will feature lightweight sweaters, skinny jeans, bubble dresses, slim skirts and cuffed shorts. Signature pieces include a coated cotton poplin black trench, a rock ’n’ roll gray denim cropped studded jacket, a men’s wear-inspired tuxedo blazer and a color-blocked one-shoulder dress with bubble hem. The collection also will include swimwear and cotton voile print scarves.

The collection has a muted color palette of black, white, gray and tan with accents of cobalt blue and bright pink. Studs and mesh give items an edge. For example, a chambray sleeveless shirtdress has stud detailing, there’s a mesh wrap dress and an open yarn zipper cardigan. Graphic prints and silk-screen photographs give tunics, dresses and T-shirts visual interest. The Leila silk-screen T-shirt with a necklace collar was designed for The Duke Spirit lead singer, while other band members are immortalized on a sleeveless jersey T-shirt.
