THIS Week: Things to buy

I would of also put up Ye's new album up here, 808's & Heartbreak. But I'm gonna wait till Dec. 16th when the special edition KAWs album Artwork drops. I love when yeezy drops a new album because not only are you getting some quality tunes your also in a way buying a piece of art, if your into that sorta stuff. Which I am of course. To me, everything in life can either be related to Art or Design or both.

Interactive Mirror from Alpay Kasal on Vimeo.

I NEED THIS TOO!!
In an effort to dive deeper into HCI (Human Computer Interaction) by hacking together parts easily acquired, I set out to build something especially "non-computery" - introducing the Interactive Mirror. On paper, this construction looked like it'd be novel and fun. I was pleasantly surprised to see it was way more fun than expected once I fired it up.

The cognitive machine that is your brain automatically deals with things like size and distance and perspective, a job it hopefully does fairly well, you don't have to give a mirror's reflection much thought. However, interacting with buttons and animation layered on your reflection and the world behind you is unlike any other touchscreen experience. This unexpectedness, to me, is precisely the allure of HCI and all things touch-capable.

This Weeks: MUSIC ON REPEAT.

LG Prada II

Yes your eyes arent deciving you the new pradaII fully touch screen phone comes with it's own bluetooth watch. Very Bond like. If I had the money... you already know.
HSDPA, WiFi, 5-megapixel camera, 3-inch 400 x 240 pixel capacitive multi-touch display and quad-band GSM connectivity -- you probably weren't aware of the matching Prada Link Bluetooth watch. As you'd expect, the timepiece syncs with your Prada II and shows your incoming calls / texts, and we'll go out on a limb and presume that it tells time, too.

Illuminating Solar Blinds Turn the Lights On

I NEED THIS NOW!!!!
What do you get when you take an average vertical blind (the kind found in practically any rental apartment across the United States), outfit it with special mini photovoltaics and LED pixels, then add a healthy dose of creative inspiration? The surprisingly chic and witty Solar Vertical Lamp designed by Yoon-Hui Kim and Eun-Kyung Kim. By creatively applying existing technology, Kim and Kim transform the lowly blind into a sustainable, sexy, and dramatic lighting system. Finally, a blind that has truly seen the light.

The two-dimensional lamps are brilliant in their simplicity. During the day, miniature solar pads soak up the sun’s energy. At night, artfully placed Lighting pixels lighting pixels (similar to those used on billboards) illuminate. Simply close the blinds to ‘turn on’ your lights. These smart lights come in table lamp, floor lamp, and chandelier forms that add dramatic ambiance to any room in the house. Besides being completely energy-efficient and saving you tons of money on your monthly bill, you never have to dust them!

Jeff Koons - Neue Nationalgalerie Exhibition

Wow you have no idea what i wouldnt give to be there to see this exhibition. Koons has a lot of work within New York and I saw most of it while was there. I just really love simplicity of it.

FINAL HOME x Casio G-Shock Mini

I'm not a fan of G-Shocks but I'd rock. love the concept.
Kosuke Tsumura’s technical label Final Home, follows a muted yet technically refined approach towards design. Consisting mainly of monotone garments, the aesthetic continues Tsumura’s belief that clothes can adapt according to natures elements, in a way becoming their own “ultimate shelter”. The lifestyle brand is synonymous with the concepts of protection, survival and functionality which makes their latest collaboration with Casio ideal, considering the G-Shocks model familiarity with functional and technical aspects. The watch is available in two colorways, black or white, featuring FINAL HOME’s conceptual vision.
Radiohead - Weird Fishes - by Tobias Stretch

I think this video is beautiful but also sightly disturbing. That being said if you can watch this video without cringing I will give you a dollar. This is my probably my favorite Radiohead song ever, definitely my fav off In Rainbows.

Ferrari Zobin Concept

Finally a bold design from Ferrari... and it's absolutely Sick.... wonder how much of it will make it to production though.

2010 Ford Mustang

I'm not really a fan of American cars but I've always liked the mustang for some reason. I really like this new redesign especially the front it looks more aggressive boarderline challenger/charger esque but in a good way. However im not a fan of that new tail light shape. to me its like they felt like they had to change it just because they've looked teh same for so long. But you shouldnt fix that which isnt broken.

Sick commercial ***Toshiba Timesculpture Advert

dope song to. it's called Air War by Crystal Castles, ive heard of them, now it looks like im gonna have to dive in alittle deeper.

Toshiba's new "timesculpture" advert takes The Matrix's Bullet Time film technique one bizarrely cool step forward by animating within the freeze-frame. It was filmed with 200 Gigashot camcorders arranged on a special rig, recording a mahoosive 20 terabytes of data from which the ad was composed.

SNES Alarm Clock

I NEED THIS BADD!!!

Pause for greatness

These are brand new movie posters released today for what looks to be one of the sickest super hero movies ever. I'm almost done reading the graphic novel, I've got two chapters left and it has been a fantastic read. I highly suggest anyone that into fantasy/adventure novels pick up a copy.
