Common & N.E.R.D. Show + Chester French

Chester French

N.E.R.D.

Common

So chester french opened, they were good. they're a new act pharrell signed to his label Star Trak. Think MGMT with a tad bit of kings of leon meets beastie boys and maybe buddy holly?. they didnt play much material BUT, they did do something i didnt think was possible. They did a cover of Daft Punk's "Robot Rock" track and it was damn good. Only a few big Daft Punk fans in the crowd recognized it and started to freak the fuck out when they played it, me included. Next, N.E.R.D. came on they were good, real good. However but I think you could tell they were alittle withered down, they have been touring like nuts over the past 6 months all over the world. First by themselves to promote the new album then with on Ye's glow in the dark tour, and now with common. No chad this time as well :( it was really rare to see him on the Glow tour, guess he thought it was something he just couldnt miss, understandable. Common closed, he had a really great suprisingly. Not that hes not a good performer it's just that his new record got pushed back, orginally is was suppose to come out in June. It was called Invincible Summer originally, but it has since be renamed Universal Mind Control and is due out in late November. So he did a lot of intersting melodies of old favorites and a bunch of new songs that no one has heard cuz the record hasn't dropped. But the new stuff seem to go over well. I might upload a vid on youtube but ihavent decided yet. Enjoy the Pics! now i must sleep.
